Privacy in the Digital Age

Personal Privacy in the Digital Age

Personal privacy has become a complex topic in the digital age, with reverberations in every sphere of life from government and politics to healthcare and commerce. People spend an incredible amount of time online, and in doing so, generate the ability for others to learn a significant amount about them by tracking their digital activity and communications.

Such tracking occurs in spades, by everyone from our online service providers to shopping sites, news providers, and social media outlets. These organizations gather volumes of personal information behind the scenes, capturing our internet search terms, purchasing habits, and even IP location.

Beyond this data tracking that we don’t often consciously note, we are regularly prompted to provide personal information to execute transactions, browse certain sites, or share online. Social App Development

Key Features of a Successful Social App

We love developing apps of all kinds, and social apps are no exception. Our most recent foray into social app development started with a visit from two entrepreneurs looking to build an app to create conversations through music. Your marketing team has ideally been involved since the beginning, doing market research to identify needs and define objectives. Having a clearly defined value proposition is critical, but what are the key aspects to app marketing? How do you go about getting the word out to your target market?

As you would expect, there is not a singular answer. The digital marketing age is filled with a myriad of promotional options, and in some ways, there are too many choices. We’ll outline a few key platforms often used in marketing apps, but it’s not likely you’ll want to leverage them all. Knowing your customer base is essential to determining which options will be most effective — and which aren’t worth the time. Read More

SXSW: Old Spice and Everything Nice – First Impressions from

In the past 48 hours, I learned more than I did in my entire college career. Well, maybe not more. But close.

I’d been told that SXSW was huge, but I never expected everything to be so crowded. Three of the panels I wanted to sit in on the first day were sold out. Luckily, there were easily 4 other interesting options going on at the same time. I’m trying to take in as much as I can and have been furiously taking notes on my iPad. Although I think Read More
